Join us for a day of thinking and fun as we make new connections faster than a speeding bullet, create group brain trust more powerful than a locomotive, and leap tall build-ups of unexamined habit in a single bound! It's All About the Children - No, Wait! The Parents: Strengthening Young Families Through Modeling and Readers Advisory Thursday, October 1, 2015 Schenectady County Public Library Five practices - talk, sing, read,
write, and play - help young children develop the skills they need
to be successful readers and learners. Thanks to Every Child Ready
to Read2® (ECRR2), the initiative that introduced these research-based
practices, were on the path to modeling and embedding the
practices in our storytime programming. Yet what happens after the
families leave the library? Could changing how we interact with
parents or caregivers at the library have an even bigger impact
on early literacy in our community?
This training is part of the NYS early literacy initiative Ready to Read At New York Libraries Registration
